Day 24
Pretty hazy across the south coast today and a big derby in Championship football tomorrow. Being from South Wales - not much interest in that - but I did venture up near to Fort Nelson and got the view across Portsmouth towards the habour. Portsmouth Harbour skyline - with Spinnaker tower front and centre Nice shot this, the spinnaker tower in the landscape, ferries off the back. In harbour fort can be seen to the left and some military vessels in the foreground.

Day 23
So it just about stopped raining long enough for me to get out in the garden. A seed pod on in the garden Not much going on in the garden at the moment but perhaps the first sign of life as we near the end of January.

Day 22
Another grim January day but a little break in the cloud meant I could get this near Mansbridge White Swans near the White Swan, Mansbridge Sometimes it is not a mystery where the pub name came from

Day 21
Tried a bit of selective colour here and a little pun from Warsash shore. One that got away, the lobster on the side of the harbour office - from behind the lobster pots Weather and light have been really challenging this week - hope I've managed to do something here that was worthwhile. I now know why I didn't start my original 365 on 1st Jan - January is hard!

Day 20
A week where some of the cricket details have started to come into focus - with a captains meeting last night. Didn't beat the light today so its an indoor effort. Won't be long before we are back trying to hit, chase, catch, bowl and survive these. A Southern Premier League cricket ball

Day 19
I am probably taking too many coastal shots - but I make no apology for doing that when I get the chance. There will be time for photo projects and series but as I live in such a varied environment with coastal and forest regions mixed in with the city life its likely to dominate a little. Southampton this time and a bit more of the industrial side of the coast. A tug boat on Southampton water - with Fawley burning away in the background

Day 18
A little trip down to Port Solent - and I guess a few different eras of defence with Portchester Castle flanked by the warship in the background Portchester Castle from Port Solent There really wasnt much colour to this as the weather had turned a bit gloomy - so tried to push towards a black and white image - I think it came out alright but perhaps an area I need to work on a bit.

Day 17
Took advantage of the weekend and some decent weather and decided to head inland for something a little different. Somewhere on the way to Hambledon and near to Fort Nelson found a nice place to stop and take a look around. Farmland near to Fort Nelson I'm a bit of a sucker for a gnarly tree and some blue sky.

Day 16
So a busy day of work, gym and coaching - but managed to get across to Hill Head for sunset Hill Head as the sun goes down While there isn't a great deal going on here - I did enjoy the colours as the sun disappeared.

Day 15
Wow - thank god for the sunshine yesterday as today was miserable. I've realised that some of the projects I used to meet the challenge of a photo a day are going to have to have some planning - ones from the last project365 include rainbow colours and numbers but always open to suggestions for more. Today it absolutely threw it down - so I tried to capture that exact thing, hopefully did the torrential rain a service here. It was biblical at times. Rain falls on a patio tabl

Day 14
Finally a morning where it wasn't chucking it down - and then some. School run done and a bit of time until work kicked in so a quick drive down to Swanwick and got this lovely sunny/misty scene. A misty, cold and sunny Swanwick Marina A lovely end to week 2 of the project.

Day 13
What do you do when it is still chucking it down and you have a 9 year old with light sabers for Christmas! You remember light painting and light trails from the first project365 and try and do something funky. There were some really cool ones - but this is the best Light saber light trails Long exposure, low ISO and some trial and error works wonders! Giving me 1995 screen saver vibes.

Day 12
Another miserable day today weather wise making getting out and about a bit more challenging - as much as a working day also contributes. Not much colour to be found so went for something a bit more moody and black and white. A gloomy looking Swanwick Marina I'm hoping for a break in the weather - or its going to be some novelty work for the next few days!

Day 11
Well what a difference a day makes - thankful that the rain arrived this morning and no on Saturday as the terraces would have been miserable. A misty wet view of the Garth Perhaps more traditional weather for Wales in January - like the colours in this one. Clouds/mist against the backdrop of the Garth Mountain from the base of Pentyrch Hill.

Day 10
Fantastic trip to the homeland - with a visit to the real home of rugby Cardiff Arms Park to watch Cardiff take on Racing 92. A great time had and a first trip there for the kids, nephews and wife! Not sure what the count would be for me, my sister and brother in law. Cardiff Arms Park witnessing Cardiff v Racing 92 in the European Challenge Cup Sun going down over the North stand - and the backdrop of the Principality Stadium what's not to like.

Embracing the Chill: A Cozy Day with Dad Jokes
Finding Joy in Cold Weather With the continuation of some pretty cold and nasty weather, I found myself in need of some motivation today. What better way to lift my spirits than with a warm drink and a good laugh? I brewed a decent cup of tea. It was just what I needed to combat the chilly conditions outside. There’s something about a warm mug in your hands that feels comforting, right? The Power of Laughter Speaking of comfort, let’s talk about dad jokes. They might be chees

Day 8
Well what a day that was - begin by being told I finally have old eyes and need glasses, then the biblical storm. Not the pretty if isolating and scary snow, but rain and lots of it. Only one place for inspiration then to try and convey that the best I could. A little nod to the blurry vision here too with the building site lights thrown our of focus behind the raindrops on the window. Moody raindrops on an office window

Day 7
And so here we are - one full week into the project 365. I'm trying to use this to explore a bit locally to expand my knowledge of where I live as well as how to take the pics etc. Titchfield Haven Still plenty of autumn colour at Titchfield Haven. I didn't have the long lenses so couldn't tell you what the birds are in the lake - but a lovely, if a little bit freezing, escape from the desk for half an hour.

Another freezing day - bit of snow in the air. This is the view from Swanwick this morning. A freezing Swanwick Marina Its great to live so close to nature with such variation. Hopefully inspiration for the remaining project.

Day 5
The first snow fall of the year - and another bitterly cold day. I'm now thankful when I did this project years ago that it didn't start in these temperatures. I might never have learned anything! University of Southampton - Highfield in the snow It wasn't much but it was something - and a photo that definitely couldn't be taken in summer!
